Teaching Women at the Jail

I was born in Southern California in 1981. At an early age, I felt called by God. As a young child, I saw a mail pamphlet with a picture of a young girl in Mexico without food or clean clothes. I felt God pulling on my heart and I had great compassion for her. I was saved at my Aunts church and my Grandmother would teach me bible verses.

When I was older, my faith was tested by life trials & my family breaking up. God brought me back into better consistency and helped me in finding a church. I still have areas to work on which keep me close to God and relying on him for guidance.
Calling to Ministry

The calling to ministry came to me as a child. As I traveled in the military to different nations, God implanted a deeper seed in my heart. After returning to consistency in my relationship with him, God placed a deeper desire in me to travel, speak the gospel, pray and see people restored and healed.

Ministry Journey

As a sole parent, I was surprised that God opened the doors he did in the area of ministry. I expected to have a career path of helping children in families in a nonprofit organization. Instead, God opened the door by providing opportunities for me and putting me on the path to connecting with the local church. After connecting I moved to Texas with my daughter to help the launch team church plant. Moving at the end of 2017 opened new opportunities to serve in my new community and I felt God leading me. This has also led me to want to grow in confidence and ability as I minister to friends, at a local senior care and I am preparing to help teach a group of ladies at the women’s jail.

In the future, I hope to travel to various nations to share the gospel and make connections with local churches. I hope to set an example for my children that regardless of their circumstances if they follow God and stay strong in the Lord, he WILL work all things together for their good. I have seen that in my life and I hope as I press forward that God will also use my life as an example to give hope to other sole parents that he does have a purpose for them and regardless of circumstance he can use anyone he chooses to make a difference in their community and the world.
